Outstanding light for bikes

Very bright like my previous lamp by another manufacturer but SO much better in many other ways. It has a replaceable battery which is very good to have otherwise a flashlight is destined for landfill when the battery dies. Also it is cheaper to replace a battery than the entire lamp too. There’s even a spare gasket for the battery cover should you ever lose it. The on/off button clicks easily which is VERY important for winter cycling when you wear gloves. The mount is very reliable and easy to use. It is very sturdy with all metal construction and quite waterproof too. In my opinion, in a short term test it is the best lamp in its class and even the price is very competitive.

Reliable light with reliable mount

Solid mounting system that doesn't rely on silicon bands is a very big plus here. No rattling, no play, no slop, just solid spring-assisted retention. You would think swappable batteries would be easy to find for bicycle lights, but no, so the fact that this works with my other 18650 devices is fantastic, plus the light has its own USB charge port anyway so I can either swap a battery or use a power bank depending on my kit at the time. Anyway, quite bright enough - whether you're on a pitch-black road in the sticks or in the reliable streetlight illumination of montreal island. The battery indicator LED tends to go red faster than you'd think but I think it's just a bit overeager. I don't realistically see anyone running out unless they insist on going all through the night. I had enough charge to run on high for a 3h after-dark ride, no stress. If I didn't have 18650 batteries already I might have gone with the BC26R instead, which uses higher capacity batteries for longer runtime and seems more available.
