I wanted an easy to grab and use flashlight using easy to obtain AA batteries. Although This model has more features than I need, its user interface is simple to use. I just leave on medium and it returns to this setting with one tap on the tail switch. Perfect for my needs. I have other flashlights with multi functions and complicated switches. They are all a pain in the neck. My advice is to buy the simplest high quality light you can find.
