I purchased 2 of these batteries for my Fenix PD32UE earlier this year and have had nothing but issues with them. Upon receiving them, I charged both batteries with the built in charger and placed one inside my flashlight. as I tightened the tail cap, the flashlight turned on and could not be turned off. I contacted Flashlight world, explained the situation and had to submit a video clip of what the issue was. They were nice enough to send me a replacement battery.
As I was waiting to the replacement to come in, I used the other battery I purchased. This had the exact same issue. I tried contactin Fenix to see if there was a compatibility issue with these batteries but according to the website "This battery will work in all of the models that utilize the standard Li-ion 18650" makes sense. I received the new battery from Flashlight world and had the exact same issue. I was finally contacted by Fenix customer service and they stated the my flashlight could only use the CR123a batteries (even though it says in the manual for the flashlight that it can use 18650) as this battery is bigger, which is odd to me, given what they mentioned on the website about being used where standard Li-on 18650 are used. I thought it might be an issue with my flashlight but, it works normally with other batteries except the Fenix ones....strange, right?
So long story short, I'm stuck with three 3500mah 18650 that I have no use for and cannot be used in my Fenix Flashlight with no way to exchange or return them. Thank you to Flashlight world for the customer service but I wish I knew this before wasting my money on the batteries. there is no note of compatibility issues listed here on the product page or anywhere for that matter but Fenix says, it won't fit even though their site says they will and the manual.
